Sedums are a large family of easy-care plants known for their thick succulent foliage. There are many varieties to choose from with unusual forms and striking colors. They add interest all year long.Sedum groundcover mixSedums thrive in well-drained soil and full sun, making them drought tolerant. You will need to check on them for water needs while they are getting established, but once they are, sedums require very little care. In fact, overwatering is the most common mistake. Many gardeners like sedum because it is deer and rabbit resistant. Sedum can be used as groundcover or to add interest in a container. The reliability and ease of caring for sedums make them a great first plant for beginners. The Growing Place carries over 50 varieties of sedum in Perennials. They were chosen as Growing Place Choice plants because they perform strong year after year and require little maintenance once established.Perennial Hens & Chicks Sempervivum, or Hens and Chicks, are attractive rosettes of succulent foliage.
